OBJECTIVE: To raise Brand Awareness | Create Affinity | Data Capture



 Our client, Vertu Motors, are the 5th largest dealer group in the UK, operating franchised dealerships under Vertu, Bristol Street Motors, Farnell and Macklin Motors.

In a recent bid to align their network under the ‘Vertu’ banner, there was a need to build awareness & consideration for Vertu Motors - specifically in Yorkshire with the strong presence of the ‘Farnell’ brand. In simple terms, it was a ‘Rebrand, not an acquisition’.

The Great Yorkshire Show in Harrogate provided great synergy between the location of key Vertu retailers including Jaguar Land Rover, BMW, MINI, VW & Honda.

Vertu requested support to design and project manage their presence at the Show, including some synergy with their recent Yorkshire County Cricket Club Sponsorship.


Our proposal included recommendations on the following:

  • Exhibition Space
  • Options for Hospitality Units
  • Brand and Signage
  • Promotional Event Staff
  • Product Placement
  • Sponsorship Activations
  • Entertainment & Competitions
  • Data Capture



  • Coordinating and aligning all the different elements and ensuring a seamless delivery across the 4 days.
  • Ensuring the Event teams were educated on vehicle makes and models, including pricing and specifications.
  • Providing a service to existing customers through the hospitality, and engaging crowds to get involved with the Batak activation.



We provided an in-depth analysis of potential competitors exhibiting, sourced a premium event space, and coordinated the provision of a double decker hospitality unit with upper deck – including all furniture, signage, and additional elements, including pickett fencing.

To present Vertu in the best light, we also provided details and touchpoints including branded flags, banners, branded cushions, umbrellas, and uniforms.

In addition to this a pop up ‘Batak’, reaction speed test was located at the stand, along with a competition to win a Land Rover Experience and a Signed YCCC shirt.
