Meet Hayley

Tell us a little bit about your role and the role of the Events Management team at Rhino?

My role is to facilitate client relationship. I manage the events team from conception to completion, including bookings, customer data, artwork approvals, coordination and fittings. All with one key objective – to deliver results and a successful event experience.

 

What inspired you to pursue a career within automotive events and marketing?

I would say it was a happy accident. I previously worked as a visual merchandising manager and would be heavily involved with the marketing departments in developing and executing brand campaigns and strategies. When deciding on a career change, after the birth of my daughter, I decided I wanted a more office-based role, yet one that would still give me the ability to managed projects from concept to completion. What’s life without a challenge…

 

What drew you to the role at Rhino?

Living close by, I would often drive past Rhino HQ and see the huge life-size Rhino statue on the building. I was always intrigued to know what kind of business it was. An opportunity came up, just as I was looking for a change, and from learning about their service offering, I was captivated and wanted to join the team.

 

What motivates you in your career?

I pride myself in being efficient. I like the challenge of identifying areas where there is an opportunity to streamline processes, while also delivering excellent customer satisfaction.

 

What does a typical day look like for you?

I make a point of catching up with the team each morning. This ensures we’re all meeting deadlines and achieving our objectives effectively and efficiently. I regularly review processes, as well as providing support with new products and training, whilst working alongside the design, digital and sales team departments. Its wide and varied, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

 

What is the biggest professional challenge you have had to overcome?

Moving from a creative role to one that required a more project focused approach was an overwhelming thought at first. However, I soon realised that the events role at Rhino meant I had many transferable skills that could be used and applied.

 

If you could switch roles with someone for a day, who would it be?

The Queen! I feel I was born in the wrong era.

 

Can you give us a little insight into your passions outside of work?

My daughter is my passion; everything we do is to give her the best life!

 

Tell us something interesting about yourself.

A day without Tea isn’t worth considering!!

 

And finally – what’s your biggest pet peeve?

Being late.
