“My goal after completing my apprenticeship, is to enjoy every aspect of my career in the design industry”.

Benjamin Catherall, Junior Creative.

What can you say about Rhino?

From my first day, and all throughout, Rhino has welcomed me to the company with open arms. They have provided me with the knowledge and help to grow my skills and confidence.

Tell us about your learning journey?

At the start it was a completely new outlook on design, within the first few months I began working on designs for some of the popular automotive brands such as Ford, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and more; and it was very fun to experience.

As it was something new, I was unfamiliar with the brand guidelines, but thanks to all the help and mentoring I have received from the team at Rhino I have grown my skills in areas I wasn’t aware of; now I am entrusted to take on live jobs just like any other creative. I am now more confident in knowing I can do these jobs, and If I do need help, I am comfortable going to anyone on the team, all of whom are happy to help.

What is you biggest achievement so far?

I would say knowing how far I have come over the past year. The conversations I have had with co-workers and positive feedback I have received from my mentor, bosses and also clients makes me confident in knowing my skills have developed.

What advice would you give someone considering an apprenticeship?

Find one that includes something you are passionate about, something you enjoy doing!

Don’t be afraid to get stuck in from day one and learn as much as you can, not only about the job, but the people around you. As you will learn alot more that way, and will build relationships with the people you work with. This is what I did and I enjoy every minute working at Rhino and have learnt alot about the people I work with.
