“I’ve had the privilege to travel all over Europe with this role whilst setting up the events”.
Sam Gallager, Operations and Logistics Operative. Rhino Events.
When and why did you join Rhino?
I joined Rhino in February 2017. I’d heard great things about the company and wanted in!
As Events Logistics Operative, what does your role entail?
As part of the logistics and operations team, I have to be multi-skilled and adaptable as the role involves working within all areas of the business.
Part of this role is assisting with planning which involves organising everything from staff, vehicles, training, and logistics for events up and down the country - ensuring current work can go ahead as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.
This role also involves booking and pricing jobs for the print and signage side of the business. This ranges from receiving briefs from other departments or clients to site surveys, building relationships with suppliers, ordering materials, invoicing and fittings.
What do you find the most rewarding about your role?
Travelling! Luckily, I’ve had the privilege to travel all over Europe with this role whilst setting up the events.
What do you enjoy the most about working at Rhino?
Again, travelling. Getting to travel and experience other places and cultures, as well as an opportunity to meet clients along the way.
If you could switch roles with someone for a day, who would it be?
Probably Lee or Dave, I’d love to see how the business is run from the top and experience their day to day.
Can you give us a little insight into your passions outside of work?
Outside of work my main passion is music.
From attending festivals & gigs, to making music and mixing at home.
Hearing your own music at an event is the best feeling!
I also love cooking.
If you had to choose one care to drive for the rest of your life, what would you choose and why?
Probably a G-Wagon with a Brabus body kit.
