“I just feel at home here. It would be a shame if I didn’t after 23 years!"
Martin Tozer, Senior Account Manager. Rhino Group.
Tell us about your journey at Rhino.
I joined Rhino in August 1998 bringing with me my trusted valet and design supremo, Lightning Lee Jackson. At that stage there were only our founders, Simon, and Lee, and 2 other employees. No broadband and the office was a prefabricated hut on an industrial estate in Denton.
What does being the Senior Account Manager entail?
Basically, just managing our customers’ requests and ensuring that they get what they want.
Briefing into Studio team and organising print and other purchases.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
The freedom! It’s demanding and difficult to get the time off that I would like. However, I can manage my accounts in the way I would like to without interference from external sources.
What’s one of the biggest lessons you’ve learned in your career?
Nothing stays the same for long and the world goes round in a big circle. As one door closes, another one opens.
What do you like about working at Rhino?
I just feel at home here. It would be a shame if I didn’t after 23 years!
If you could pick up a new skill in an instant, what would it be?
To be an expert guitar player. I love guitars – they are just works of art! I have collected some really nice ones over the years. I just wish I could play better.
What do you get up to outside of the office?
I like to try and keep my fitness up – especially with my 2 sons, Oliver and Charlie.
We do a bit of Hot Yoga (which is brilliant for you) and we go to a Boxing Gym a few times a week.
Top 3 songs?
That’s a tough one. It depends what sort of mood I am in but let’s go with this:
Skin Deep – The Stranglers
Call the Police – LCD Soundsystem
Jumbo - Underworld
